Diversity Management in a Multi-level Framework

The aim of the “Share the knowledge” initiative is to create a diverse, inclusive, and participatory knowledge network on human rights. Within this segment, we share valuable and interesting academic papers. Readers have the chance to deepen human rights-related topics and to get some ideas for further studies. While the January session is hot on our heels, we are delighted to share the academic paper of Ludovica Aricò, a second-year HRG student. This was submitted as the final essay for the course Human Rights Political Analysis on 18th January 2020. In her work, Ludovica answers the following question: How does the so-called ‘minority problem’ affect diversity management through minority rights at different levels of governance? She makes meaningful contributions in understanding the 'minority problem' in a multi-level framework, looking at the international, bilateral, and national levels. Ludovica also provides some examples of good diversity management as well as of toxic environments.
