Introduction.
The topic seems to be philosophical but is not falsifying. We can see that the Earth is the solely real house where we are living in, although scientists are striving to explore the whole universe to find another planet where the human being can be capable of living.
Why they are doing this is more notable than their efforts or whether they have become successful or not. Their actions in this area alarm us that our Earth is in a crisis or, in other words, it is exterminating! In this article, we intend to see which elements lead us to face this inconvenient situation and how we can constraint this reluctant event.
Natural resources: renewables and non-renewables.
Definitely, the first strand that is so crucial to examine is 'natural resources'. We all somehow have less or more awareness of this topic but herein we will revise them abstractly in order to have this presupposition of prospective determinations.
Scientifically, natural resources have been divided into two groups: the renewables and non-renewables. In fact, our lives are dependent and reliable on these sources because of our existence remaining and meeting our demands. For instance, we can mention the oil as an outstanding resource and its sub-products such as petrol to have energy for stabilising our existence.
While the extraction of not-sustainable resources forges ahead, we assist the dramatically increasing number of human beings facing it as disaster which ought to be considered as an urgent situation to be handled not only by national actors like people, but also by countries as impressive actors in this scenario. Furthermore, we can also realise that this effort requires any actions in any aspects such as political, economic, social, scientific and so on.
Governments' potential future efforts.
Merely, being pessimistic and disappointed in the future will not help us indeed. Recent studies demonstrate that many countries such as Germany, Italy, Spain, America, The Netherlands etc. are progressing in utilisation of renewable sources and dedicating substantial proportion of their budget expenditure for investing in this field. They’re endeavouring to fulfil much more degree of producing energy from the sustainable sources and minimising the use of non-renewable resources. For example, the solar energy is the distinguished manner of producing energy which is prior selection by most countries.
The efficiency of this occurrence will be surely vivid when governments implement and realise this strategy in their sovereignties. Nevertheless, this performance might yield many workers to be dismissed from their current occupations, which demands states to think of them. Developing, in this case, is the only method that can be accounted for as insurance of our lives and future generation which countries are responsible for.
Initially, it seems to be so costly to trigger performing this idea to have the investments on various kinds of sustainable resources, but when you evaluate these methodologies with the amount of money which is spent for importing any kind of energy from other countries, we can obviously realise that in long-term estimations it is so beneficial, as an economic aspect. Politically, we can mention that the independency of a country is likely to enhance the power in its territory.
Additionally, the satisfaction of population consolidates the credibility of sovereignty, which can be determined as social dimension. Incidentally, the environmental determinant of this activity is superior and much more effective due to the fact that the Earth is the only place where we are still able to live in.
Massive extraction and excessive use of resources caused many catastrophes and crises such as climate change and healthy diseases. Thus, we have to constrain or hinder this drama, or in other words, our extermination.
Epistemologically, the development and improvement relevant to this case is in the highest position of sustainability. Its correlation to politics, economy, and society in which decision-makers and other objects interlaced and have been intertwined to carry out the aforementioned aims is undeniable. For example, in many universities students are working on how to reach the maximum efficiency of wind turbines by working on the aerodynamic aspects of these instrumentalities.
As institutional movements, we can mention many communities and forums that are active in this field, as NRDC (Natural Resources Defence), EDF (Environmental Defence Fund).
Conclusion.
In conclusion, so many equated determinants composed our contemporary lives which are thoroughly reliable on the Earth. In order to acquire eternal life and give this opportunity to our upcoming generation to live as likely as we are doing, we must behave more carefully with this planet and be more friendly.
